How Did I Get Here?

Hey again! If you clicked this link, you probably want to know more about me and who I am. So here’s a quick overview of my musical and personal journey so you can know a little about me!

I was born in Murfreesboro, TN in 1989 to two loving parents and an older sister. I was born and raised in Murfreesboro, and got my first real instrument when I was 11. It was an alto saxophone. I played that thing like crazy.

Pretty soon after that, I discovered skateboarding and electric guitar, and I didn’t really look back. I took my sister’s Rogue electric guitar (worth about $80 I’d guess) that she purchased after watching Josie and the Pussycats, and I was off to the races.

Quickly I found out some neighborhood kids were starting a punk band and needed a bass player. I had never played bass, but I knew I was interested in it, and I wanted to be in the band.

That began a life-long passion for the electric bass. I joined my middle school jazz band, and quickly evolved through high school into a proficient jazz player on both electric and upright bass.

After high school and during college, I played around town with rock and pop bands, started my own DIY punk bands, and just played what I was passionate about. Jazz took a back seat, but I still loved jazz.

Fast forward to 10 years later, I have a 9 year old daughter, I’m living in Chattanooga, TN, and the itch to play music is back! Thus, this website was born. I would love to bring my expertise as an instrumentalist to you, a young student in your life, or your project.
